In the name of Allah, the All-Merciful, the Most Merciful.

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

The team of the manhaj_salafi platform consists of students of religious sciences close to Sheikh Ahmad Ibn Sulayman Badokhon, who is also the supervisor of the site.

Our Creed and Methodology

Our way is rooted in the Salafi tradition, which is none other than authentic Islam as it was explained and practiced by the Prophet Muhammad — may Allah praise him and grant him peace — and the Salaf, namely: the Companions of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and the two generations that followed them with excellence — may Allah be pleased with them.

This way is thus characterized by several fundamental aspects:

  • Adherence to foundational texts: the Quran and the authentic Sunnah constitute our primary and ultimate reference.

  • Understanding these texts according to the methodology of the Salaf, excluding all methodologies and interpretations that are innovations in contradiction with the way of these first three generations.

  • A rigorous approach to sources of knowledge: we attach paramount importance to the question: "from whom do we take our knowledge?" following in this the scrupulous methodology of the Salaf and the scholars of Hadith, summarized by the famous statement of the eminent Muhammad Ibn Sirin (رحمه الله):

"This knowledge is a religion, so look carefully at who you take your religion from."

    Introduction of Sahih Muslim
  • Referring to the great scholars in age and knowledge in all matters, and particularly in new issues, important matters related to the general interest of Muslims such as crises, conflicts, trials, and warnings against known individuals.

عن ابن عباس (رضي الله عنهما) أن رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) قال: «البركة مع أكابركم».[1]

Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) reported that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: "The blessing is with your elders."

Reported by Ibn Hibban and Al-Hakim, and authenticated by Sheikh Al-Albani

عن عبد الله بن مسعود (رضي الله عنه) قال: «لن يزال الناس بخير ما أتاهم العلم من قبل أكابرهم وذوي أسلافهم، فإذا أتاهم من قبل أصاغرهم هلكوا».[2]

Abdullah Ibn Masʿud (رضي الله عنه) said: "People will continue to be in a state of goodness as long as knowledge comes to them from their elders and their predecessors. But if it comes to them from their juniors, they will perish."

Reported by At-Tabarani
  • Referring to scholars who are specialized in their field and considered experts, and giving precedence to their opinion over those who are not considered specialists and experts.

Ibn Abi Uways said: I heard my uncle Malik Ibn Anas say: "This knowledge is a religion, so look at who you take your religion from. I met seventy hadith transmitters near the pillars of the Messenger's mosque (صلى الله عليه وسلم), but I did not take anything from them. Yet if the Public Treasury had been entrusted to them, they would have been trustworthy for that responsibility. But they were not specialized in this field. However, when Ibn Shihab came, we would hasten to his door."

Reported by Ibn Abd Al-Barr

قال الإمام الألباني (رحمه الله): «رأي العالم المختص في علمه حجة على غير المختص, لا يجوز رده إلا بحجة أقوى».[4]

Imam Al-Albani (رحمه الله) said: "The opinion of a specialist scholar in his field is proof against the non-specialist; it is not permissible to reject it except with stronger evidence."

We rely on the contributions of many recognized Salafi scholars for their fidelity to the Quran, the authentic Sunnah, and the methodology of the Salaf in understanding the sacred texts. Among them:

Our Objective

Following the observation of common transgressions and a widespread misunderstanding of the methodology of the Salaf, we deemed it useful to make our contribution in order to facilitate access to authentic knowledge, opinions, and explanations of the most reliable scholars of our time on this subject, so that the reader can clearly distinguish between what is truly part of this way and what is foreign to it, and between its true adherents and those who usurp its banner.

May Allah praise our Prophet Muhammad and grant him peace, as well as his family, his companions, and all those who follow their way.
